Le Tenon et la Mortaise came to fruition after the founders met at a woodworking school. Together, they embarked on an inspiring journey, crafting domestic objects and furniture seamlessly, merging contemporary flair with practicality. Rooted in the innate beauty of their chosen materials, their designs radiate a harmonious connection with the natural world.
The "Brandypot" is a wooden candlestick holder inspired by the islands of the St. Lawrence estuary and their lighthouses. Handturned in Canada in North American butternut, a warm wood that adds character and softness to hygge and contemporary home decor. The product is finished with nontoxic hemp oil and beeswax.
